Privacy
A short, plain-language summary of how we handle data. This is an overview, not the final legal notice. The definitive policy will be published before general availability.
Where data is hosted
StageReady runs on Microsoft Azure in the European Union (Amsterdam). The application, database, and credential vault are all EU-hosted, and customer data is not replicated outside the EU.
Personal data
Device hardware identifiers (hardware hashes) are treated as personal data under the GDPR and protected accordingly. Client credentials are stored only in Azure Key Vault and are never placed in our database, in configuration, on the USB, or on the device.
The hardware model catalogue
When StageReady configures a device's BIOS, it reads the list of settings that model's firmware offers. Those setting names and their permitted values are facts about the manufacturer's product, identical on every unit of that model, and we add them to a shared catalogue so nobody has to rediscover them one machine at a time.
What the catalogue never contains: how a device is actually configured, its serial number, its hardware hash, or anything identifying the device, the client, or you. Your firmware settings are yours; only the model's vocabulary is shared.
